The other great thing about this area of Animal Kingdom is that you can experience Na’vi River Journey. It’s a very different type of experience and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who likes thrill rides. I strongly suggest trying out the test seat as well, which is located outside the attraction to make sure that you and other family members are able to ride this without any problems. Just make sure you get a Lightening Lane for this if you want to go, because I have seen the wait time as high as 1 or 2 hours! On Avatar Flight of Passage, you’ll soar around the mountains, jump into ancient caverns, and skim your way across roaring oceans, all on the back of a banshee. The sites and sounds of this area will really blow you away even if you aren’t a fan of the movies because of how much “wow” detail there is here in general. Then you are going to love The World of Avatar! If you or members of your family are fans of the movie Avatar. Disney wanted this area to be authentic but also functional for each animal. One thing of note is that the termite mounds will often hide water feeders for birds. There is a viewing area here for several different exotic animals and birds.Ĭast members are standing by (as usual) to assist guests with any questions they might have about the animals. It’s an Oasis in the true sense of the word, which features a plethora of tropical plants and trees, a small waterfall, and a pond that houses some of the most beautiful flamingos you’ll ever see. Don’t miss the animal paw imprints on the cane lamp post-lined pathways as you are entering the oasis. As I mentioned earlier there is impressive art everywhere here. It’s the little things with Disney’s Animal Kingdom that most people miss and why I’m mentioning it here. It welcomes you with a lush tropical landscape of the Oasis and is astounding. This is really the entryway of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I’ll give you a little overview of each area and all of the experiences you can expect to have with each one. The park’s animals and its attractions are primarily broken up into six areas.
